Teo Bishop sees his writing as a form of ministry, as much a way of reaching out as reaching in. He writes to be heard, but also to allow others to express their voices, their experiences, their knowledge of the divine. While on a druidic path himself, Teo honors all traditions, including his own upbringing in the Christian church. He believes that it is only through a synthesis of lived experience that a true knowledge of spirituality may evolve.
His work centers on the meaning and enactment of ritual in personal and public ceremony, on the place of masculinity in earth-based religions, and on the integration of mind (critical thinking) with heart (intuitive knowing). Teo keeps his ear carefully tuned to the rhythms of pagan communities, searching out ways to explore, express, and explode the deepest issues those communities face, whether ancient or contemporary. His writing is always an effort to involve others, to create “a space for dialogue beneath the sacred oaks.”
Teo is currently at work on his first book.
