A Few Thoughts about Rick Santorum Suspending His Campaign

Just now, Rick Santorum suspended his Presidential campaign, after a weekend at the hospital with his three year old daughter Bella. As you probably are aware, Bella was born with Trisomy 18 — a genetic disorder similar to Down syndrome that’s caused her short life to be an ongoing battle.

No matter who you support for President in 2012, you have to admire how Sen. Santorum champions life – he fights for it in Washington and he fights for it in his own home, day after day.

As he suspends his 309 day campaign, let’s honor his pro-life conviction by watching this touching campaign video. No, he doesn’t have a campaign anymore, but we’ll never stop the fight for life.

Thanks for posting this Bristol. I still feel he’s the right man for the job.

thank you so much for sharing that. It brought a tear to my eye, especially the part when he said Bella isn’t disabled we are. How can you not look at that beautiful child and know that God is good?

This is a sad day for America. Rick would be a great president.

I don’t believe he would have beaten Obama or would have been the best candidate for president, but I do admire his role in the pro life cause. As someone who works closely with kids with all kinds of developmental disabilities, it warms my heart to see him show the world how to love these sweet children of God.

I am praying for a complete healing in Lil Bella’s body, from the top of her head down to her toes and that she can live a complete normal life…. In Jesus’ Holy Name….

I am not voting for any of the Gop!!! so I don’t really care if Rick stay or leave the campaign. After what he said on tape, calling President Obama a government N____ I have lost the little respect I had in him.

I wish people will stop saying God told me to run for President or This is God’s will, or this is what God called me to do… Michele, Herman, Perry and Santorum are quilty and need to repent for lying on God…

I don’t trust Romney… He is too phony, everything President Obama is for, he supported in the past, he had the same policies…. He accept had a Swiss Bank Account, He only pay 15 or 13% tax while the middle, working class pay 30%. He critized Obama staying at Harvard too long, when Obama earned an higher GPA in three years than he accomplished in 4.

As much as I believe that Mr. Santorum’s ideas are dangerously out of touch with modern America, and that he would make a terrible president, I send him my best wishes for his daughter’s health and happiness. She is a lovely child.

America is dangerously out of touch, not Santorum.
