Congratulations, Gov. Walker!

Last night was a reminder that the media doesn’t decide who runs our country, the voters do.  For the past 18 months, the “lamestream media”  has led us to believe a rogue governor has been defying the will of the people.  In fact, the Wisconsin governor was doing the work of the people.  In fact, he was doing exactly what the voters elected him to do.

Last night was one to savor, because a good man doing good things won.

Congratulations, Gov. Walker, and thank you, Wisconsin!

Bristol…you are so right…Scott Walker is FOR the people of Wisconsin! I voted for him before and I voted for him again yesterday. Thanks for saying what is so true!!!

  • leanne

Good post, Bristol! I am so happy he won what the people wanted in the first place! :)

  • bellagrazi

Congrats to Gov. Walker and Lt. Gov. Kleefisch on their big win in WI! Bristol, please thank your mom for standing strong with the Gov. and Lt. Gov. in this fight. I know her unwavering support energized the base to get out the vote. I know you were in the crowd for her blockbuster speech in WI last year. Your mom is a true leader, Bristol. It’s America’s loss that she decided not to run for President in 2012. But as your mom always says, “You don’t need a title to make a difference”. She proves that every day.

  • Georgia

Walker’s victory is amazing, especially since the democrats pushed his recall. He won with a higher percentage than he did the first time he won the election!!! Of course your mom was confident that he and his Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch would win, and they did! Go Sarah. Love me some Sarah Palin! She is the bestest with the mostest!

    God bless America!

  • GrizzlyMom

Well this finally confirms it for me that you are not writing this blog. How pathetic.

    • Millie

Huh? Another confirmation that “progressive” ideologues are irrational.

    • otlset

Your tears are especially sweet this morning. Mmmm, I think I’ll have another cup of coffee!

      • GrizzlyMom

Oh please I’m not crying over Walker…who cares. No I’m laughing that people think Bristol is writing this blog. One day its ” help me name my dog!” and the next she’s congratulating Gov. Walker. I dare say that an overwhelming majority of people her age have NO idea who the governor is or that it was a special election. In fact I doubt if many of them, Bristol included, could even point out the state on a map.

        • LMA

Well, I now thoroughly believe Bristol’s writing her own posts, because they’re so devoid of insight.

          • otlset

The left is in disarray. It’s almost as if LMA didn’t even read his/her team leader’s post right above. Probably didn’t if he/she falls in Grizzmum’s complaint about the age group who have “…NO idea of who the governor is or that it was a special election.”

          • GrizzlyMom

Are further reflection you may be right LMA! And if anyone is the team leader around here its you :)

          • GrizzlyMom

Autocorrect is not my friend today. Upon not Are. Also, after reading Bristol’s post again its clear to me that her mommy helped her write it…hence the lamestream media and rogue references. She really should come up with some new material.

        • LMA

Hey, Grizzlymom, I think we have a fan! Love you, too, otlset!

GrizzlyMom, that is some narrow minded garage there, let me guess, and all Alaskans live in igloos.

        • Ray

That is true about young liberals.

          Young conservatives are well informed.

It’s SO incredible. Living here in Madison, Wisconsin and having to deal with all the drama surrounding this every day, it’s nice it’s hopefully over, he can finish out his term and continue to do great things for this State. Did you see / hear the turn out for the amount of people who got out and voted.. Incredible!

  • LMA

Gov. Walker won fair and square — that’s how our democracy works — but I’m so proud of his challengers, who hung in there for so long and made their voices heard. (And by the way, Bristol, do you know the names of any of those folks who worked for months to try to get Walker recalled? Didn’t think so. They’re ORDINARY CITIZENS, not “lamestream media.”)

  • Paulette

Banter…back & forth. Democracy! Free speech! I don’t bet, but if I did, I BET Bristol absolutely knows what she is talking about in regards to voting and many other issues. And for questions that she doesn’t know the answers, I BET she has a very knowledgeable mama she can ask for answers. She also has a sense of humor! Good for her! As for Gov Walker…WOW! A man elected to office who actually works FOR THE PEOPLE and does what is best for them! Although I don’t live in WI, we supported him financially and very glad to see him win! Go Walker! Go Bristol! Goooooo Sarah!!!!!

  • Paulette

BTW Bristol, please continue your posts! I enjoyed seeing your son praying over his meal, I enjoyed seeing y’all when camping, I enjoyed seeing the big cuddly puppy, and you know what? I just enjoy reading your blog! Interesting that those who don’t like you or disagree with you even bother to take up their time reading your blogs! Kinda makes me smile. :-) Have an awesome day!

Governor Walker earned his victory, and though I supported Barrett I can say with certainty that regardless of the outcome, democracy won:

Here is part of a reply I made to a reply from a comment I posted on the same subject (confusing, I know) It goes well with alot of the things I’ve read in the comment section of this and previous posts. I couldn’t get the link to post so you could see the whole conversation but the person was asking what I personally would suggest doing instead. Here is my reply: “No clue. I Don’t even know what the full situation is about with Mr. Walker. I haven’t had the time to sit down and find the facts about it. To tell you the truth I have more important things to do right now. My comment was regarding people’s behavior when they comment (all the rudeness, insults and name calling,etc.). And it happens on all sides. I like to read all the different opinions but the immaturity is so thick you can cut it with a knife. So many comments are like they know it all and if someone’s opinion isn’t the same they’re an idiot or something…. I don’t get online, read something and then go down and fill the comment box with “that **** is so stupid, they shouldn’t be allowed to exist!” kind of thing. How boring and mundane would everything be if everyone looked, felt, and believed exactly the same. Just keep it civil for heavens sake. ”
I mean, if you can’t stand the person why are you wasting your time reading about them and commenting? (Maybe I’m just a little jealous because I don’t have that kind of time or energy) ;-)
There, I’ll get off my soap box now.

Good post, Bristol. Gov. Walker’s ‘Second’ win last night proves that the Democrats are not as smart as they think they are. But they sure know how to ‘Waste’ Tax Payer Money.

  • john norton

Yes it was a victory for our side … Now what… ? U Mama Grizzley’s need to kick it in the Burnnnnnn… ~ !

Congrats Wisconsin on making the right choice!
