He graduated from Georgia Tech in 2000 with a degree in civil engineering and in 2013 from the University of Tennessee with a degree in informational sciences. He received his Certificate in Spiritual Direction from Richmont Graduate University in May 2020 and now offers a contemplative and reflective style of spiritual direction in Knoxville and virtually. His own spiritual formation formation has been guided by contemplative prayer practices, journaling, and silent retreats.
