Summary: In this video we agree with and expand upon an argument from Lutheran Rev. Jordan Cooper about household baptisms in the NT as an argument in favor of infant baptism.

Can babies be baptized? Is infant baptism biblical? In this episode of Catholic Bible Highlights, Kenny Burchard is joined by Catholic apologist and author Dave Armstrong to examine one of the most debated questions among Christians: who should be baptized? Together, they interact with a video by Rev. Jordan Cooper (Lutheran pastor, Just and Sinner YouTube channel) and contrast his defense of infant baptism with Dr. Gavin Ortlund’s Reformed Baptist rejection of it. Dave and Kenny walk through 19 key Bible passages on baptism, household salvation, and children in God’s covenant family. From Acts 16 and Lydia’s household, to Peter’s words at Pentecost—“the promise is for you and your children” (Acts 2:39)—the evidence points strongly toward baptism being for both adults and infants. Along the way, they explore ancient Israelite family life, early Church practice, and why Protestant disagreement on baptism exposes deep divisions.
