A.D. The Bible Continues slipped in the ratings a little more in its third week on NBC, though that could be partly due to the fact that it was up against the 50th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards on CBS last night.
Last night’s episode got a 1.1 rating, which is a drop of 52% from the 2.3 rating that the first episode had two weeks ago, and it got 6.3 million viewers overall, which is a drop of 34% from that same first episode. It is also a lower number of total viewers than either episode of The Dovekeepers had when they aired on CBS last month.
The Bible, which aired on the History Channel two years ago, consistently got over 10 million viewers for each of its five two-hour installments.
As of this writing, the network has not yet posted any clips from next week’s episode the way they did the last two Mondays, but they did post two videos that look back at last night’s episode and another video that looks ahead to the rest of the series.
